would not recommend this company to anyone. the worst customer service ever. they messed up my homeowners insurance and my auto insurance and the agent was very rude and unprofessional. had to file a complaint with the department of insurance who resolved the issue.

had i numbing experience dealing with this insurance company. for almost two years i had gotten a policy from them and had made my payments on time. i had my car completely paid off last year and even called to update my insurance with them. they said they needed proof the car was paid off so i sent them a copy of my release of lien that i received from chrysler capital. i was rear ended last week and what do you know, tidewater claims they never got my payoff letter from chrysler capital. now my car is totaled and they're saying they're not responsible for the damages because the lender still had a lien on the car. i had insurance through them for two years and paid on time, and what do i get in return? complete garbage customer service and now i'm out tens of thousands of dollars. i really hope this review sways people from choosing tidewater as their insurance company.
